TREND: ANIMAL PRINTS

DESERT BOOTS

I'm sure you've noticed that animal prints on hairy pony skin 

(why it's called pony skin is a mystery to me, nothing to do with pony's) 

are hot this season. 

(of course there's no animal with these spots,

 but you know what I mean, don't you?)

Here's a desertboot,

 a classic 'evergreen': 

- an ankle-length boot with 

two or three pairs of eyelets for lacing 

and a crepe sole - 

that is created by Nathan Clark 

(yes,  a member of the Clarks family 

from the famous Clarks factories in England) 

for British soldiers who had to fight in the desert in World War II, 

A casual boot that became very popular in the sixties.

It's a Clarks original - very literally
